Bypass TechnologyThe BP-51 coilover is adjustable in both rebound and compression to allow for more in depth customization of your Ranger's ride, whereas most other adjustable shock absorbers only let you customize the compression. Other shock absorbers depend on fluid flowing through the piston for damping. The BP-51 coilovers utilize an alternate path from one chamber to another that bypasses the piston allowing for more dynamic damping. The bypass route also allows for greater levels of damping that wouldn't be achievable with only the conventional single route. This dynamic damping is exactly what gives the BP-51 coilovers such a controlled ride. Ultimately, you're left with pistons that have their movements slowed down when they near full compression and extension. With all the movement going on in your shocks, a remote oil reservoir ensures maximum oil capacity. Maximum oil capacity means minimal oil temperatures to ensure your coilover can keep up with you all day and night. Manufactured in-house by ARB, aircraft grade 6061 aluminum was specifically chosen to dissipate heat and prevent corrosion more effectively than any steel or alloy steel would. This coilover is hard anodized finished for an extra layer of heat dissipation and corrosion resistance. Teflon-lined spherical bearings ensure a long life span for your coilover's joints. The hose from your coilover to your reservoir is a Durable Dash 6 high-temperature hose which incorporates high-flow fittings for optimum oil flow. In an effort to make this coilover even more enticing, ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineers developed the BP-51 coilovers to be installed directly in existing mounting locations to avoid any unwanted modification to your Ranger.
