Overview

Perfect fitment. The Stealth LED Light Bar Kit for the 2022 Tundra from Diode Dynamics allows you to easily mount a 18" light bar in the factory lower bumper opening. These application-specific brackets were CAD-designed to install using factory mounting points. No cutting or drilling required! This kit retains the factory lower grille for a clean, OEM-like appearance.

Designed For Performance. Using optical simulation modeling, Diode Dynamics Stage Series light bars have been designed for maximum functionality, with compact size, custom-engineered TIR optics, and a useful beam pattern, all in a highly durable package. Our light bars shine light in a highly-functional and useful beam pattern, much more focused than older LEDs on the market.

Functional Patterns. All Stage Series beam pattern options were designed with optical simulation modeling, to shape the output in a highly-functional beam pattern. No matter what your auxiliary lighting needs are, there is a Stage Series optic for you!

The Combo pattern combines both the Driving and Flood optics. It shines light downrange in a focused, rectangular 20Wx8H degree pattern while also illuminating area around it in a full 80Wx50H degree spread. The Stage Series 18" Combo Light Bar features a flood lens in the middle with two driving lenses on the outer edges.

Bad mounting position

I wish I had a positive review on this product. However, I have been more than disappointed with it. The bracket which holds the lightbar behind the bumper puts the lightbar at a terrible angle. With it all mounted up, it holds the lightbar about 1/2 inch too high and it makes contact on the top with the bumper which forces the lightbar to be pointed downward. I tried to move the lightbar back as the bracket does have a slider hole vs a single hole for mounting flexibility. However, moving the lightbar back just causes it to not fit in the hole properly and is partially covered by the bumper. Hopefully the pictures will provide some better visuals of what I am describing here.

Because of the angle in which the lightbar has to be aimed, the light output is just terrible. It is also a combo light with flood and spot. The spot portion of the lightbar literally hits the ground about 2-3 feet in front of the truck which is useless when you are actually in the truck driving. The flood does OK, but again the angle means most of the light is pointed down. In all honesty, the Tundra headlights have much better output and light.

I think I am going to have to try and drill my own mounting hole in the bracket. Hopefully I can get the lightbar mounted a bit lower so the light can be aimed properly forward and project out in front of the truck instead of downward directly in front.

We've relayed this information to the DD engineering team, and hopefully we can get some good positive resolution out of this! Your install definitely shouldn't have your light bar pointing at the ground.
