Advanced 8112 Shock Technology

Triple-Piston Architecture

Unlike traditional coilovers that rely on a single internal piston, the 8112 features three:

• Main Piston – provides smooth, predictable damping during normal driving and light off-road use.

• Compression Zone Piston – activates during deeper compression events to prevent harsh bottoming.

• Rebound Zone Piston – controls extension forces and stabilizes the vehicle over rough terrain.

These three components work together to create distinct damping zones that automatically activate based on the terrain and suspension travel.

ZoneControl™ CR Damping System

The CR designation stands for Compression and Rebound control. Each coilover includes additional internal components that only engage during high-load events, delivering:

Large 60mm Shock Body & Remote Reservoir

Adjustable Lift Range

The 8112 coilovers offer an adjustable lift range of approximately 0.5" to 2.6", depending on preload and spring selection. This makes them an excellent choice for leveling or moderate lift setups.

DSA+ Adjustable Version (Optional Upgrade)

The DSA+ external adjuster version adds:

• Low-speed compression adjuster – controls body roll, front dive, slow suspension movements

• High-speed compression adjuster – fine-tunes impact harshness over rocks, ruts, and sharp bumps

This version is ideal for Tacomas carrying extra weight, participating in varied off-road environments, or requiring tuning flexibility.
